How would you have responded to this email?

I received this last December from the mother of one of my son's classmates. It was also sent to many other parents. Realize, this is small-town, middle America, these people rarely, if ever, have any dealings with Muslims yet they feel free to spread this crap and I would guarantee that if I had responded to it I would have been outcast in this town. Would you have said anything? It would be nice to have a few snappy comebacks on hand because something similar will likely happen again this year.

"USPS New 44-Cent Stamp!!! Celebrates Muslim holiday..

If there is only ONE thing you forward today..... let it be this!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of Pan Am Flight 103!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the Marine Barracks in Lebanon !

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the military Barracks in Saudi Arabia !

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the American Embassies in Africa !

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the USS COLE!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM attack on 9/11/2001 !

REMEMBER all the AMERICAN lives that were lost in those vicious MUSLIM attacks!

Now President Obama has directed the United States Postal Service to REMEMBER and HONOR the EID MUSLIM holiday season with a new commemorative 44 Cent First Class Holiday Postage Stamp..

REMEMBER to adamantly %26amp; vocally BOYCOTT this stamp, when you are purchasing your stamps at the post office.

All you have to say is "No thank you, I do not want that Muslim Stamp on my letters!"

To use this stamp would be a slap in the face to all those AMERICANS who died at the hands of those whom this stamp honors.

REMEMBER ~

pass this along to every Patriotic AMERICAN that you know and lets get the word out !!!

Here is something to chew on...

They (MUSLIMS) don't even believe in Christ, %26amp; they're getting their own Christmas stamp! BUT, don't dare to dream of posting the ten commandments on federal property! This is truly UNBELIEVABLE !!! "How would you have responded to this email?
Please quit sending me hysterical and obviously false propaganda.

Regards,

name

I'm always polite the first time, after that, I block 'em if they keep it up.
That's a generalization. Like saying this.

REMEMBER the CHRISTIAN murder of James Chaney

REMEMBER the CHRISTIAN murder of Andrew Goodman.

You're generalizing Muslims for what extremists did. That's like generalizing Christians for what the KKK has done. How would you have responded to this email?
Personally I would write a letter to her explaining the concept of freedom of religion and the need for tolerance then I would put one of those 44c stamps on it and mail it to her :- )

Have a look here for the full story !!!

Replace every "MUSLIM" with the word "TERRORIST" and send it back.

Maybe add the following:

Remember the CHRISTIAN who bombed Oklahoma City!

Remember the CHRISTIAN who bombed the Atlanta Olympics! How would you have responded to this email?
hopefully you haven't forgotten the many Christians who commit murder, why it was even a Christian who assassinated your president JFKennedy

atually Muslims do believe in Jesus Christ he is considered a great prophet but not the Messiah

get your facts straight
I would not respond to the sender of the email, but I would have a long chat with my children to be sure they get the facts and understand the subject. Arm your kids with the truth. Pray that other families do the same.
I wouldn't reply to the email. I also wouldn't buy a non-christian stamp for my christmas mailings. For other purposes, I don't care.

Snappy comebacks may not be your wisest move!
Or - Remember the 950 MILLION MUSLIMS in the world who live in peace, trying to get through the day, the same as you.

@C.V. - Priceless. Wish I had your quick wit
the way to stop that nonsense neighbor is not to forward e-mails like that. Delete them. I don't do the 'chain letter' thing. It's a bit of urban legend besides.

Thanks for sharing.
Typical red-neck American right-wing Christian hate and fear-mongering, with extra side order of persecution complex. I wouldn't bother to reply but do a lot more ignoring.
You could try refuting her facts but since she is right on every case you will just have to accept that there are bad people who do bad things.
I might search out all the millions of deaths that "Christian" countries have inflicted on Muslims over the past 200 years.
No, I wouldn't have replied. People that moronic aren't suddenly going to develop an IQ that exceeds single digits.
ignore them
All statements made here are true.
You never got that email, it went straight to spam, oh well.

Problem solved.
yeah, thats crazy...if you are christian you will not dwell on these things....we need to work on ourselves, then help others...and we know the entire world is too far gone, god knows what he is doing,

love!

Romans 14:17 (New International Version)

17For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,
I would have responded with this link about President Obama has directed the United States Postal Service to REMEMBER and HONOR the EID MUSLIM holiday season with a new commemorative 44 Cent First Class Holiday Postage Stamp..

http://www.factcheck.org/2009/09/muslim-鈥?/a>

Obama had nothing to do with this stamp, which was first announced during President George W. Bush鈥檚 administration, on Aug. 1, 2001, honoring two Muslim holidays, including Eid al-Fitr, the first day following the month of Ramadan, a period of fasting and religious observances. The stamp first came out at 34 cents, the prevailing first class rate at the time. It has been reissued several times whenever that rate increased.
I got that to, so if you want to verify anything go to a place that nails them all, here is what they found

People rather believe all the crap and never bother to see what is going on. Snopes tells the whole story.

Yes I would have responded. I didn't even read your entire list and know that this is a hate crime. I would have published it, called news channels and brought it out in the open for all to see, but not before I found out who wrote it and why and how everyone else handled it. Document everything. Fear no man, only God. and then expose it.
I would have deleted it without comment; I get ridiculous e-mails from people all the time. You may be right that you would have been ostracized if you'd answered the e-mail honestly, but my guess is there are many other people who received the e-mail and felt as offended as you did. Your best response would have been to buy the stamps and put them on all of your letters - including a nice one to the lady who sent the e-mail inviting her over for dinner some time.
