How to claim a refund from EasyJet due to the Volcano?

Hi, I got stranded by EasyJet because of the Icelandic Volcano.

How do I get a refund for my flight, hotel, transfers and food in the week I was stuck in Spain?

There email customer services is a joke and I cant find a postal address. I'm tempted to do my own EasyJet online advertising to promote how bad there customer services are.How to claim a refund from EasyJet due to the Volcano?
EasyJets customer care is rubbish. They already have your money, they don't want to give it back, even if according to European Law 261/2004 they are required to refund and repay any incurred costs. Their own insurance covers them for this event and they have a level of responsibility to their passengers.

1. Make copies of all your receipts for your food, hotel, phone calls, transport to and from the airport and any other reasonable costs you incurred.

2. Download the template letter from here... http://www.which.co.uk/advice/iceland-volcano---travel-insurance-and-your-rights/steps-to-claim-for-a-refund-if-affected-by-the-volcano/index.jsp

3. Fill in the form and send it with your receipts (do not loose the originals, post copies only) to...

EasyJet Airline Company Limited

Hangar 89, London Luton Airport

Luton, Bedfordshire

LU2 9PF

4. Provide your flight information through the EasyJet portal, use this link...

I have just done the same, I got stuck in the middle of nowhere and I was given a return flight 5 days later, despite there being flights available and on sale 3 days before I flew back. EasyJet are useless. Hope I've helped.

Here is the direct email address for the customer care team so you don't have to go through the website qualification forms and delayed reply...

Why are people so quick to blame the airline, in this case Easyjet, for something that was completely beyond their control and, indeed, was an occurrence which had not been experienced before %26amp; was therefore totally unexpected?

Let's reflect on this situation. No one lost their lives or homes, but were merely inconvenienced by a freak of nature. Let's also remember that Easyjet are the UK's largest airline, in terms of passengers carried, so the whole exercise for them was a monumental task. They returned 200,000 "stranded" passengers, have paid for 100.000 hotel stays and throughout the disruption have kept travellers fully informed via their website.

I was one of the lucky one's, who flew out on the 21st April, to Spain, having learnt at 2200hrs the night before that our flight would be available. Prior to this I have to say that Easyjet kept me fully informed about the steps to take if we didn't , as was expected, get away. Their website also contained comprehensive instructions, to those affected, on what action to take. Even now there are full details available on their site for anyone wishing to pursue a claim. http://easyjet.custhelp.com/app/answers/鈥?/a>

During my week in Spain, I met many people in our hotel who had been stranded by this unfortunate incident but all adopted the attitude that things could have been far worse, and that they would recover from the inconvenience all in good time.

As a matter of interest the person "DO" calling himself a pilot is, in fact, a schoolboy!! Just check his questions for homework. How to claim a refund from EasyJet due to the Volcano?
I do not normally say this but ignore what the last person said. If you book with easy jet you can get a refund. The link to the relevant page on their site is below. There have been a few cases on the news of people saying it takes a while and a bit of time (1 week to actually get the money) But don't give in they will give it to you.

Good Luck :)
it isnt Easy jets fault that you were stranded, it was an act of god which stranded you !

would you have preferred it if the flight had left with you on board, then the engine got clogged with volcanic ash and plummeted from the sky to certain death ??? because this was the reason that flights were stopped.

If you had travel insurance check to see if you were covered for such atrocities, if easy jet finally flew you home safely they have nothing to compensate you for
