How can i stop fraudulent emails?

i keep getting emails from "banks, postal inspectors, even the FBI" stating that I have money, credit

cards, unclaimed merchandise, etc. waiting to be claimed. All I have to do is provide personal information, which I certainly would never do. I will attach a copy of the most recent one;

Simple, Don't open them. Send them to your spam folder. They will be deleted from there in a certain amount of time. If not delete yourself. What ever kind of e mail you have, It has a spam filter. Set your spam filter. If you have yahoo or google mail it will do it for you if you report the message as spam. If you have windows mail or something like that, You have to set the filter.How can i stop fraudulent emails?
Hold down Ctrl, and select all emails that you don't recognize the sender, right click, and select delete. You are not forced to open the emails, and sometimes the act of loading pictures in emails tell the sender that you opened the email, and have a valid email address. This makes the problem worse.
