Do you think we are forced to use technology?

Often in today's society we are guided to look up internet websites if we want help or answers to our questions. Businesses want our telephone numbers or email addresses to contact us. How would a business react if you told them that you didn't have a telephone or access to a computer. Most businesses rely so much on people having instant contact that normal postal services just aren't fast enough for the information to be received.Do you think we are forced to use technology?
Of course we are. How can we survive in the modern world without access to technology?Do you think we are forced to use technology?
To at least reasonably live, one might want to use at least SOME technology throughout his or her life. Unless you wanna live in an indian tribe or something, or possibly die try to literally live on your own in a forest lol.Do you think we are forced to use technology?
It depends on your lifestyle. We are not forced to at all, it's just a matter of convenience. Technology makes things very convenient, but it isn't really necessary. It's very easy to become dependant on the convenience though, this is especially visible when there is a power cut and people are helpless.

My country has the greatest disparity between rich and poor. I'm nearer the former, with a computer, internet access and a decent house, but at the latter end there are plenty people who live on literally (and I mean literally) $0 a day. Some of their family now work in the city but return home occasionally.

Often I notice people from very different background together in the same working environment, one might have a bluetooth hands-free clipped to his ear, the latest business phone and a fancy car, another might not have a phone at all and walk to work every day from a modest establishment in the poorer side of town.

Obviously it is a matter of convenience for businesses just as much as it is for people, so how willing you are to accept people who don't have it or not to have it yo8urself, might just depend on how open minded you are =)
