Should we strike from using the Post Office?

Instead of Royal Mail, or its employees rather, holding us by the balls until they get what they want... should we all take a day off from sending mail just to prove how utterly pointless our postal service is to us in this day and age of emails, faxes and couriers.

To Hell with their strikes... I say we strike.Should we strike from using the Post Office?
I can't remember the last time I bought anything from the PO. I do all my correspondence via email because I got cheesed off with letters going missing and the escalating cost of sending them in the first place. On the rare occasions that I have parcel mail it comes by courier. Car tax etc can be done online; TV licence is done by DD; pensions and other benefits can now be paid directly into bank accounts. Banks have for years provided counter cheques for those without current account facilities, thereby rendering postal orders obsolete. I reckon PO workers striking will only serve to hasten its demise.

The GPO, as it was then, used to control telephony in the UK until around the mid-70s. If they still had that control we'd probably all still be waiting for broadband to be introduced.

It's a dinosaur and I, for one, won't miss it when it finally expires.
royal mail are putting profits before people, like other big business they have to keep share holders happy,Adam crosier the boss ruined football association he will do the same there.

Should we strike from using the Post Office?
Big business has brought Trade Unions to their knees - we have a more polarised work force - the haves and have nots abound. It is time we reasserted our rights to a living wage and the last bastion of Union Power may be Post Office workers. Perhaps we should support them as they are the last hope for people to assert the right to a living wage - rather than merely surviving on hand outs to top up meagre wages. If the Postal workers don't succeed we may as well revert to a time where slavery was all but the lot of the average worker - a time when they couldn't even afford the corn to feed themselves and their starving families.
this is how the gov sabotage british institutions, they wind up the work force infiltrate the unions cause strikes, get the workforce the blame then finish them off----not all have internet

i would say the opposit and keep royal mail once this old sabotage strategy has been broken they cant use it again, the lads should go back to work to make sure the gov cant set them up for the blame.Should we strike from using the Post Office?
yup sums up the average thoughts from a typical Brit. I'm alright jack and to fcuk with anyone else. good luck when you have no pension, post office, nhs. etc etc. you have no fight in you and haven't for a long long time, ( unless of course someone says you cant smoke in a pub or an even bigger issue like someone saying a bad word on big brother then of course your all up in arms ) anyone under 30 in this country is screwed. you just don't get off your backsides and vote or fight, I'm over 30. have a house 2 actually and a good retirement. so hey as they say I'm alright jack well I'm sure you get it
That is just the post,.What about the Post Offices that are an essential part of our society. Old people rely on them to get their pension money ,to pay their bills and so on. The employees of Royal Mail have a grievance. They have talked for ages and got nowhere, hence the strikes.I don't know all the pros and cons of the argument but it seems that the Mail is in financial trouble and can't afford to pay the increases demanded, even if they agree the demands are justified.. All a bit of a stalemate. I don't think your solution will solve anything .
wow is there still a post office
