Paypal, bs threat? i think so! how bout u?

ok so this guy is buying a blackberry but i think its fake, this has gone on for 2 days now. This is what he replied when i havent shipped ityet since its prolly fake. :Good Morning It's seems that you don't wanna ship my Blackberry Storm and get back with the shipment tracking numbers, you dont want to get back to me since all this while i have made the payment for your item and your money has been deducted from my PayPal account and i wonder why you don't get back to me with the status of the shipment. Look i want you to get back to me now or else i will make a report at the nearest police station about your fraud and i will also contacted PayPal security Team and the FBI now for there investigation on this transaction so i will like you to kindly get back to me now so i can know what's going on about the shipment of my item.looking forward to hearing back from you.

Thanks and hope to hear from you soonest.

back to me: haha just curious how hes gonna get the fbis number and i heard paypal is not responsible for any scamms, so he said the money has been deducted from his account but o n my account theres no message or payment pending or anything. This is a message from "PAYPAL" : This message is originated from PayPal company, We got a mail from JONES REGA regarding the shipment which you are suppose to make. We want to use this medium to inform you that it is imperative you consider the words you use with your buyer(s). PayPal does not encourage nor support Fraudulent Acts, We advice you that you go ahead to make the shipment and send us the Shipment Tracking Numbers as well as the Shipment Scanned Receipt for verification. Once we acknowledge the shipment we will go ahead to release your fund.

Failure to do this we will not hesitate to Terminate your account and as well get you arrested and face the Law for going against the Terms and Conditions of PayPal INC.

Kindly make the shipment of the item which was paid for by our customer JONES REGA with the confirmed account (jnsrega@gmail.com) and send us the shipment information for your account to be updated.

Send the item via United State Postal Service (Express Mail) and not UPS, the safety of our customer is very important and we promise to render you Good and secure service, all you need to do is to get the item ship now and get back to us with tracking number.

i think this is a fraud , and when did paypal do deals over email and not their website? and i didnt think there was a thing where you dont get the omney until you send the shipment.... Also i noticed if i hover my mouse over it it says Service@PayPal.com. But when i reset my password the email was from service@paypal.com(no caps)Paypal, bs threat? i think so! how bout u?
Do NOT send this moron the item!

The first tip off that this is a scam is obviously, the money is NOT in your PayPal account! Do NOT click ANY links in this bogus email this moron sent. In fact, forward the email to PayPals abuse department (you would have to find the email they want phishing emails etc sent) that way they can trace who this scammer is and take care of him hopefully. Problem is, he is probably in Nigeria somewhere! LOL

Second tip off was the way the letter was written! The grammar was atrocious and sounds like the typical Nigerian crap you will read here when people offer loans to those here who post how they need a loan but have horrible credit.. LOL They also use gmail, hotmail and yahoo addresses. Easy to get a free address then close the account when you are done scamming, huh!?!

Third tip was their bogus claim of sending you to jail or calling the FBI blah blah blah. Sorry, but anyone with an ounce of intelligence would start laughing at this point!

Forward the email and ignore this scammer.Paypal, bs threat? i think so! how bout u?
scam!Paypal, bs threat? i think so! how bout u?
It's all part of the same scam - they try to scare you into sending an item

First of all, the FBI deals with serious crimes such as terrorism, human trafficking, serial killers, etc. They have NOTHING to do with Paypal transactions or financial disputes.

Don't open any emails or respond for any reason - it's a Nigerian scam - you can tell because they use 'i' instead of 'I' for first person singular

Paypal NEVER specifies the shipping methods - especialy when UPS is MUCH safer than USPS Express Mail as it has built in insurance and allows you to track online. And Paypal NEVER asks for a tracking number for ANY reason

Forward the email to spoof@paypal.com

If this person sent the money and you don't send the item, YOU are not involved for any reason. The buyer files a dispute with Paypal and they refund the money - it has nothing to do with you

Don't open any other emails from anyone you don't know and don't respond to this person. Once they realise after a few days that you are not going to respond or send the blackberry, they will move on to the next victim

You should also report this to the FBI's Internet Crime division http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx
You're being scammed.

Forward the e-mail to spoof@paypal.com and they will confirm that it's a scam.

You should NEVER ship an item before you receive the payment.
