Dubai postal services!!!!!!?

Hi, can anyone who knows Dubai postal rules help me out, coz these ppl at the post office cant give me a proper solution to an issue i got (happens all the time, lol)

the issue:

I ve ordered a DVD online, gave the PO Box of my office, a month later i tried to track it and found out the parcel was sent out without any tracking number, so, i went to the post office, where all they could say was: "we cannot track a parcel without a tracking number!!"

So, wtf u do with the parcels u receive with ppl's names and other ctc if they dont have any tracking number??

the answer was;"we call the person nd tell to pick up the parcel"

Agrrr, the co i work at is soo big there is no one to call to!!!! DUUH, and no one would know me!!!

anyway, now that the parcel is officially lost I do not know how to get it resent to me.

And it is so hard to communicate with the online sender via emails, make them understand that Dubai is not like a normal city, it has its own rules.

So, I have my personal PO Box, I got a work PO Box, I got a physical address.

The internet sender is telling me that they cannot give a tracking number to a parcel if it is being sent to a PO Box.

The question is: (finally,, lol i know) "IS THERE A SERVICE HERE IN DUBAI WHERE I CAN GET MY MAIL IF I GIVE MY PHYSICAL STREET AND HOUSE ADDRESS??????"

I hope u understood what i need help in!

plzzzzzzzzzzzzz help

thanksDubai postal services!!!!!!?
Dubai is a country, and as such does not have a post code. It is possible that various areas within the country may have post codes, but the place in general will not. It is like asking what is the post code of Italy.

However, the country code for postal service to the United Arab Emirates is UAE.

.
Sorry to hear about your loss.

In case you want something delivered to your home adress, you have to use a service like FedEx, etc. There are no mail men in the UAE like in the USA and Europe.

Take care.Dubai postal services!!!!!!?
Sorry for your loss
well you are right , using FedEx wont help since they don't deliver to a POBox , and Aramex is not that good anyway , they loose packages too.

Any how , if the sender at least printed the PO Box CORRECTLY and city name (Dubai) it will not be lost , but the package may not have arrived in UAE still . If this is coming from US the US PS some times holds international bound parcels for a month or so until they can figure out the address , or it may have gone to a third country which will later deliver to UAE. In other words there are no packages without tracking numbers , that is a lie they told you (the sending party), or the person who answered you does not know what they are are talking about or how to handle it.

Now there is the possibly they entered the wrong PO Box number which means it went to the wrong person. You need to contact the post office in Dubai and tell them to call all the people with all possible combination of this number who have received packages from the sender you ordered from. This is the only way , and next time get a tracking number before hand. And I am wondering why didn't this sender print the phone number at least , it sounds they are at fault here.

Also keep in mind if the sender forgot to put the city name (for example they printed POBox 8981 , UAE), then it could have gone to 8981 in Abu Dhabi (the capital) instead of say 8981 in Dubai , which are 2 different PO Boxes. So you need to put the city name as the same PO number exists in other emirates.

Both Empost %26amp; Aramex have an over seas "shopping" service you can use , basically they give you a local address in the country you shop from (say US or UK etc) , then they collect your items and deliver them to you here. However you get charged extra per KG.Dubai postal services!!!!!!?
