Usps service question?

i recently bought a cell phone off a company on ebay which is located in Palm City, FL 34990. I live in central illinois and i received an email that the item was shipped on the 5th. This is the second time trying to get this item to me because the first time i called the company i bought it from on ebay and they said that the item you purchased was lost and they said they would send me another one. Now i hope that one will not get lost also. The company said that is should only take 2-3 days to get here and they are using Priority mail to ship it. Im becoming very impatient with the usps and i just want my cell phone.. What day do you think it will be here. And when i put in the tracking number all it says isThe U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on January 5, 2009 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later...........so what are your thoughts about this item getting to me or do you think it will be lost again because i have a feeling it will never get hereUsps service question?
This shipper uses electronic postage. Whenever they print the postage and mailing label for a package, the USPS is notified. This does not necessarily mean the package was "mailed". It just means that postage was purchased. With Delivery Confirmation there are only a few scans: "Accepted", whenever the item is taken to the USPS and given to an employee it is then scanned; "Delivered", when the item is placed in your mailbox or a secure place at your residence; and "Delivery Attempted", when the item was too large for your mailbox or no secure place was available at your residence to leave the item.

If your item was mailed on January 5, you will probably receive it by Friday.
